Solid 4-bay enclosure! Perfect for putting old drives to use.
I had four 512gb m.2 nvme ssds lying around because i ran out of m.2 slots on my motherboard. Popped them all into this enclosure, and every single bay works perfectly and good cooling as well. Unlike those cheap $10 enclosures that constantly lag or drop connection, the response time on this one is rock solid. If you have multiple ssds you need to hook up, this is a fantastic choice.

As described, the body is made of metal to help with heat dissipation, so it is a bit heavy and not practical for everyday carrying. Additionally, it has a fan on the back that makes it a bit noisy, although it’s quite low, so it’s not suitable for use in a library. It works perfectly on macOS.

As a 4-bay SSD enclosure, it is stable even when writing large amounts of data without crashing. However, the fan is constantly running and can be noisy when you are nearby. That’s why I gave it a 4-star rating.

Recommended. great little unit to put your spare ssd’s to use. solid, easy to install your drives. note however that each bay is seen as a separate drive – they are not massed together or mirroring unless you add software. note that it takes nvme drives of all lenghths, but not sata drives.
