This is an official White House “Complementary” boxed set of vintage playing cards bearing the seal of the Vice President of the United States. In this case, they represent Hubert Humphrey who served in 1964 under LBJ & were given to a visiting British dignitary. Branded “Congress”, they were made by the United States Playing Card Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. One blue on white & one white on blue, both packs are in unplayed condition with one still sealed. The other pack has been opened with some damage to the celluloid as shown but is unshuffled. The drawer case is pale blue flocked cardboard with gold paper & two sample cards on top. It has interior cases & is in excellent vintage condition with a few small storage marks. A rare collectors set or two good quality retro decks for bridge, poker, magic tricks or solitaire if sadly, you have no friends!
